Protien

Aug 20, 2008

I now consume 100+ gms of protien a day by putting 36gms of whey protien in my decaf coffee in the morning, plus eat string cheese and light and fit yogurt making a total of 41gms for breakfast alone.  I also for a snack or even lunch I drink muscle milk which has 21 or 22 gms depending on the flavor.  Yes I eat real food through out the day also, just small meals and I rarely feel hungry or snacky.  My hair is now growing back to I can now grow it longer again.  I do not use Herbal life and haven't since about december 2007 or so.  I found it had too many calories and not enough protien and it did not have whey protien since my nut. said that was the better protien to get because of the absorbtion.  I just use the less expensive protien from Vitamin World near where I live, it tastes great and the price is good.  Hey, I lost most of the weight I wanted to loose so I am on top of the world.  There are so many products out there that I am shocked I couldn't figure it out before a few months ago and how to NOT loose my hair by consuming enough protien and make my body heal well and feel great.

preop and postop protein shakes

Nov 17, 2007

I have been using the herbalife protein shakes and they are very filling and pleasant tasting.  They come in several flavors:  very berry, vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream, tropical fruit, and a brand new latte'(which I haven't tried yet). Plus if you want the added protein you have the option to purchase extra protein powder that you add to the shake and each tablespoon gives an extra 5g of protein.  You can also add fruit or just ice cubes.  It mixes with milk or water wonderfully.

They also sell vitamin supplements, however they are rather large in size so postop you may have to cut them down.  I do not know since I am still at the preop phase.

No, I am NOT a distributor or have any links to one outside of my own that I buy my products from.  This is NOT a ad, just an idea for those pre and postop people looking for ideas.

HELP!!!!

Oct 28, 2007

I need some ideas on meals and planning. I seem to be in a rut as far as losing some more weight.  I have been watching my lables for bad carbs, sugar, fat and cholestrol.  I eat plenty of salads, vegitables and protein.  What else can I try.  I walk 15-20mins every day and I am planning on making that twice a day.  I am trying to get used to walking the first session first.  I have only been doing it for about a week.  Anyone who has ideas, please let me know.
