Since having my surgery I have had a total knee replacement which I would not have been permitted to have without losing the weight. I recently received my 1st degree black belt in Tang Soo Do. I started karate when I was 8 years old and never made it very far. Karate became my exercise of choice after the surgery and with a lot of encouragement from my instructors I made it to my goal of earning my black belt. I have two kids, a son 9 and a daughter 6. Before the surgery I could even walk to the end of the block with the kids, now I practice karate with them, play football and baseball. What a difference it has made in all our lives.
