5/14/01 I spoke with Darron on the phone. He got home from the hospital on Friday. He wanted me to let everyone know how much he appreciates all the prayers and encouragment he has received. He want us to keep him in our prayers because he still has a long way to go. He is getting better day by day but he has had lots of problems with swelling. He told me he came home from the hospital with 60 extra pounds of fluid. He says his legs feel like the nerves have been cut. He can't walk much at all. He is also feeling a bit (well I would say it is ) depressed. He says he feels disassociated from his body. He is in desperate need of all our prayers and if anyone out there is post op and has had a hard journey and can share the brighter side of this with Darron I think he really needs some encouragment from someone that has been thru all the rough and touch complications from surgery. Everyone continue to remember this family (soon to expand with the newest member due to arrive June 22) in your prayers. To Darron and Family I send my warmest wishes for a speedy recovery and swift return to the normal routine of daily life and may your new addition make the sun seem to shine even brighter with God's loving touch!!! Darron, I was so sorry to hear of all the trouble that you have endured since your surgery. I am sure it will pay off in the long run. I am praying for you and your family. Just hang on and have faith....God will see you through this. I am glad you made it through.

Darron, I just wanted to take a minute to let you know that you are in my prayers. You have been such an inspiration to me, and now when you and your family need encouragement, I pray my thoughts help. "Father, I pray now that the faith that your child, Darron, has placed in your hands, will fulfill him. Lord, please grant him the good health he so desires, so that he may lead a more healthful life as a husband, father, pastor, and any other endeavors he may meet. I pray for any spirit of unsurety be moved and healing be placed upon him so abundantly that he may recover with a vigor ONLY YOU can allow Lord. In Your Son's name I ask Father, because You said I can. Amen."
