Pre-surgery weight was 252 (height 5'2") I had RNY 3/3/04. The surgery and recovery went fine. I was a slow loser from the beginning. My total loss was 90 lbs and I was 35 pounds to goal. This took me from a size 3x to a 12/14. But I stopped losing and started gaining. I went through some bad depression for about 2 years and just couldn't get motivated to exercise and was snacking all the time. I wasn't eating really bad stuff, and not eating a lot at meal time, just eating ALL the time. I've never tolerated diet soda since GBS but do use a LOT of equal and splenda. I now have gained a total of 50 lbs back . The bad depression is gone and I've felt pretty good mentally for the past year but I've had trouble getting motivated. I've returned to OH to get support to get me going again, and then I will be able to help others.
