At 50 years old, after fighting my weight all my life, I went to the doctor's office and started my journey to a healthy body.  The thing that prompted me the most was watching my father struggling in his final few months of his life (not knowing it would be his final few months).  He also had fought obesity most of his adult life.  In August, I had the Gastric Sleeve Gastrectomy procedure done and up to this point in time, have not regretted it.

I've lost 50 + pounds so far and am about half-way to where I need to go.  This has been a great trip so far, and at times the brain and the "sleeve" do battle, with the "sleeve" winning most of the time.  It's been great so far! only three times purging (eating too fast) and a time or two of dumping.
