"Dr. Pettine was gracious, professional, witty, and knowledgable fromthe very beginning of this whole process. My husband and son went with me to the initial consult. Dr. Pettine was patient with all our questions and answered them honestly and thoroughly. I was convinced when I left his office, that I had found the right doctor and support staff for this life-changing surgery. Surgery was set for 6 weeks out, during which time I had all the normal pre-op evaluations connected with this surgery. August 31, 2007 was the magic day. Dr. Pettine entered the pre-op room with a smile on his face and a positive attitude. After he left, the anesthesiologist and nurses entered the room and did their work to prepare me for surgery. I chose to have prayer before surgery and the entire room prayed with us! It was very cool - I knew I was in good hands. After surgery I was treated like a queen at PVH. All the staff there took care of my every need, worry, and concern. Dr. Pettine checked on me morning and night and sent me home after 48 hours to my new life. His office called me the next day to check on me, Becky called a couple of times during the next 4 weeks, follow-up appts were as efficient, friendly and full of great advice as the pre-op stage.
