My story didn't start until after I had my third child and had a hysterectomy. I was in my late 20's when I started gaining weight and was unable to shed any pounds. My BMI is just barely over 40 at this time. I started going to doctor's several years ago for weight issues and never seemed to get a response from anyone about it, until I spoke with PCP in New Prague, MN and he said that he would support any decision that I made to help improve my health. My triglycerides are at 357 and I am in the Pre-Diabetic stage and was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea in 01/07. I never understood the meaning until I got my Cpap machine and was able to sleep and then end up getting exhausted before the day was over with. My surgery is scheduled for 06/22/07 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN. My family and I are really looking forward to having the RNY procedure done, so we can get back to doing alot of hiking and sports activities that we use to do. I am really looking forward to living a healthy life again. I wish every who is going through this, prior authorization's, weight realted health issues or has had the procedure the best of luck with many years of success ahead of them.
