"Dr. Eich performed my panniculectomy a few months ago. He removed 34 pounds of fat and skin that was hanging to my knees. Although weight loss surgery and a good pre-op eating plan had helped me to lose over 500 pounds, it wasn't until Dr. Eich did the panniculectomy that I was really able to realize how good life was. I can walk so much better, I can move, It's great!
The pain was less than I expected and my life is so much better without that 34 pounds. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Eich, he did right by me. My scar is so minimal that I don't realize it's there, he does good work and I plan on going back to him for plastics on my arms, thighs and upper body. Thank you Dr. Eich."
"My first impression of Dr. Cowan was that he was going to be my surgeon, he was a spitting image of my grandfather who had recently passed away. I felt like that was a sign as my grandfather always worried about me losing weight and always encouraged me.
Dr. Cowan is very understanding of what an obese person deals with on a daily basis and he made me feel comfortable. He is strict and stern and allows no variation from the program, some may find that harsh I found it needed and welcomed. He is fair and I will trust him with my life.
I feel that his office staff is a bit overextended and I know there have been a few job changes in his office, hopefully the newer staff members will be able to help get things back on track. Although it may take a bit longer to get insurance info and such at times, I obviously really like Dr. Cowan as I am going to Memphis, TN for the surgery and aftercare and I Live in Birmingham, AL.
