I've been a large, big-boned, healthy sister pretty much all my life. I have been able to lose weight on my own several time in past. I am just tired of the yo-yo. It took a looong time for me to finally see that weight-loss surgery is a tool and not a cop out. I have a surgery date of July 21, 2009. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I am a single mother of three daughters. My work schedule is hectic and long. The act of trying to keep my head above water in the river of life seems to been the major focus for so long that I couldn't focus on me and my health. My weight got as high as 395lbs. I knew I had to do something.
