Hi Christie! Congratulations on your surgery date! This scripture has meant so much to me on my WLS journey. Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD , "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Congratulations on your upcoming surgery and your new lifetime journey on the losing side. Right now you are probably on a rollercoaster emotionally - excited, nervous, scared.... This is normal - don't let it freak you out. Take the time over the next few days and 'center' yourself mentally - focus your mind on other things and keep yourself physically busy too. You will find that your big day will be here in no time and you will be calm and ready for it. We will be here ready to welcome you over to the losing side and support you in your journey. Hi Christie G. My name is Donna and send you my prayer's for your up and coming surgery on Aug. 16th. Dr. Ali was my surgeon and you have truly picked a wonderful surgeon. They all are wonderful don't get me wrong, but in my hometown he has his own fan club. Meaning that at least 90% of us here had him as our surgeon. Hi Christie, Seems like just yesterday I was going for my upper GI. Now I'm 3 months post op. I had Dr. Ali too. You are very fortunate to have the best. I pray you have an easy sugery and a smooth recovery! God Bless,
