So this past week made 3 months since surgery and on that day I had an appointment with my nutritionist. Everything went pretty well. I found out that I lost another 11 pounds since I saw my primary care doc which was about 2 1/2 weeks earlier. That brings my total weight loss since surgery to 55 pounds. Which is AMAZING! Even more amazing this time last year I weighed 323 pounds and I now weigh 225. So I have lost a whopping 98 pounds in one year. I am so happy with my results. And until now everything has been pretty smooth sailing. Nothing is majorly wrong but I got a call and my iron is borderline and my vitamin D is low still. So apparently I will be on vitamin D for the rest of my life but my surgeon said I could be taken off the iron within a year. I know I am lucky that so far this is all that I have had to deal with but it kind of bummed me out a bit. I hate having to take medicine and now I just added 3 more (have to take vitamin C with the iron). Oh well it is so worth it to be less than 100 pounds to goal.
