Hello All, My name is Elaine and Im a mother of 2 little girls who are my world, I enjoy spending time with my family hanging out with my dad & my 2-girls going fishing walking around the flea market, I also love 
doing make up and mini make overs on my friends & family....I been over weight pretty much since my freahmen year of high school, I always would lose the weight and gain it back plus a few extra pounds. Growing up in a hispanic home there was always food LOL some healthy some not. Being the only over weight cousin in the family it was hard.... My cousins always dressed in the latest styles and they didn't have a hard time finding clothes for special events, I was the one. Now as an adult I don't to be over weight anymore I want to see my girls grow up I want to be there for them, and also the fear of diabetes it runs in both sides of my family, i lost 3 of my grandparents to diabetes and to watch the diabetes take over there body was scary enough, my grandmother has has it and my dad is borderline, But until last month when I did my lab work for my Bariatric doctor I was told I had type 2 diabetes, that scared the hell out of me it just brought back memories of my grandparents, and I didn't want that so Im making this be lifestyle change for me!
And I hope to meet new friends on here who already started this new life changing experince and or about to embark on this new adventure, My surgery date is set for June 27,2011 and I look at it as being a new birthdate for me.... :)
