Time For Thinking and Research...

Hello... I'm new to this, and just recently begun research into Bariatric Surgery. I've had issues with weight all my life, and it seems that these issues all started catching up with me in the last 5 years. I have finally come to the realization that if I don't look this squarely in the face and do something about it, I WILL end up as my Mother ended up... She passed away at the age of 56 due to complications of diabetes and stroke.It all seems so overwhelming. While at my daily prayer, I also "talk" to my Mom daily and ask for encouragement and guidance. So far, I've gone to the family Doc, had many tests done (the results are what has prompted me to this research), and have begun the discussions of Bariatric Surgery. I am at the point of consulting a Bariatric Surgeon. I feel confident that I have found one in my area - I just need to make "the call". That's a little scary in itself because it seems as though "the call" will take me from "just looking into it" to "yes, this is a reality"..
