Elisa A.
I am 27 years old. I like to stay busy and keep my mind active so I don't lose it. I work full-time as a GAL Volunteer Coordinator and go to school working towards my Bachelor's in Human Services. I love children and am a foster parent. I currently have a 15 and 9 year old.
And my journey begins....
I researched wls about two years ago but obviously was not ready for it or I would have done something about it. I began again a year ago, started seeing my pcp and getting his opinion on things. Luckily, he was supportive and I went to NWWLS for a consult, psych eval and nut visit. They submitted my paperwork to the insurance company and a few weeks later I found out that they denied my claim. I was frustrated but more determined then ever. I had to start a six month supervised diet with monthly nut. visits, which began in May. NWWLS submitted my paperwork to www.obesitylaw.com and I found out a couple weeks ago that they accepted my case. I am hopeful that they will be able to get my claim approved and the "real" journey will begin!
UPDATE: My insurance company continued to deny my claim even with the help of obesitylaw. I have since gotten a new job and decided to self pay.
