A week and a Day

Sep 22, 2010

Its amazing how time flies! Hard to believe this time last week i was trying to walk around the hospital floor with my PT person and a walker! But its definitely gotten much better since i have eliminated the broth from my food choices for now.  The dairy products mixed with protein are what my body seems to need.  The gas pains are nearly gone, a few lingering ones and a few one off pains.  I am learning when i do and don't have to dive/run for the bathroom.   I am starting to feel my energy levels go up.  Even folded some of the laundry my husband washed yesterday.   Last night was my first full night of sleep. it was great not waking at 3am for anything!! I still need to work a little on my water, but overall doing well.

And as for the scale, yesterday one week out it said i was down 10.3! So is that worth all the pain and suffering? YES! I know not every week will be as exciting, and it will slow some, but thats a good start and great motivator!  I am limiting myself to just weighing once a week, i know some people have to do it every day, but i find it more defeating for me.   I am anxiously waiting for exercise.  I haven't been out since my first stroll, but i will this evening ... even if it is on the treadmill for just a few minutes.

One thing i have been surprised about is the lack of lower  back pain i have had.  While i am not doing too much walking or lifting, usually even sleeping would be an issue.  So hopefully that also continues!
