My story, WOW where do I start. Although growing up I was never really over weight I did have to work at staying at a "normal size" as so many people like to label it. High School it got harder and harder to keep the weight down but I managed to stay where I was content, it was not until my 20's that my struggle became out of my control and the numbers started to rise. After the birth of my son I just would not seem to get the weight off and have struggled with it since.
My decision to get the Realize band was not one that was reached with ease. All the normal concerns were there of course but I personally decided that if I didn't do this for myself I would always have this struggle not that is going to be the magic that changes it all it will be a tool that will allow me to live the life I want for myself and my family.
So with the support of my family and friends August 16 2010 was the big day. Going to surgery at 239 lbs was a total heart breaker for me but I know and will never regret the decision to make me a priority and get my life back!
