"Dr. Liao is a young guy 30-45 in there somewhere, very personable and approachable. He has just opened a bariatric weight loss center at Union Memorial, (used to be at University of Md). He tried very hard at the first consult to talk me out of surgery, gave me the statistics and stressed this is a tool not a cure, he does a great job addressing the risks of this surgery.I like him and feel comfortable asking him questions. The office staff is friendly and helpful,aftercare and support group meetings are structured. Kate his assistant and NP is extremely helpful and supportive very easy to talk to as well.They handled the insurance company for me and kept me well informed. The center is organized and offers every service needed by the bariatric patient, Union Memorial has been excellent during every visit they are patient friendly and they really do care."
