Essence2012
Finally!!! One my way to a new me, and a new life. I have been overweight for the past 14 years, and have tried almost every weight lose and diet their is to try. I would lose weight but then gain it right back plus some after losing the weight. I would get so fustrated with myself for gaining the weight back . Going up I was always a very healthy weight, and was very active in sports in school. I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of sixteen, and when I graduated from high school, and started college i started gain weight and could not understand why. I meet my husband and we got married, and have been together for 14 years. We had started trying to have a child and could not concieve, so then I went to a infertily specialist and underwent all these test, ovarian drilling, taking glucaphage which made me fill horrible because of my PCOS by body was insulin resistant. We never concieved even after going through IVF. My mother passed away and I started gaining more weight because I was depressed, and even though my eating habits had not changed I was gaining weight because I wasnt being active. I discussed with my husband last year that I was going to do something about my weight I no long wanted to be this way. This is not who I am, so I started my journey to weight loss, and went to Southern Surgical to see Dr. Nazari who I have heard nothing but great things about. I finished my process of my six month weight loss with a provider and went to all the specialist. Then I had my endoscopy, and found out that I had Hpylori which is a bacteria in your stomach and was put on antibiotics. One top of all this my endocrinologist had put me on a new diabetic med Glucametz for my diabetes. Once I finished the medication I recieved a phone call advised me that Dr. Nazari wanted me to undergo another study to see how fast my food was digesting becasue he saw food in my stomach during the Endoscopy. So I went to Vidant Medical and could not eat anything after midnight so I was extremely hungry when I go there. I was told my appoinment was at 11am but then when I went to check in they told me that my appointment was at 12pm so I was fustrated, and hungery. The xray come out and says well if knew you were here I would have taken you back early. When I got in the back I was given an egg sandwich that had dye in it so they could see how the food was processing. Every thirty minutes I would have to get up so they could take a picture of my stomach this went on for about 4 hours so exhausting but worth it. Know I am completely finished and my insurance company has approved my surgery and my surgery date is scheduled for November 20, 2012 which is the week of Thanksgiving:( which does not bother me becasue I am on my way to a healthy new me. One thing I never stopped doing was walking and excersing becasue that keeps me going.
