"First thing I noticed walking into her office was the "size friendly" furniture :) I was really happy to see that because it showed she really cares for your comfort. She was inviting in both her tone and her body language and set me right at ease. She really spent the time going over everything and making sure I knew what I was getting into- and extended her services to me should I want to come back and let me know that there was support both pre and post op should I need it. I left feeling really good about my decision to have surgery. Oh- I have to say that I really respect her for saying that if anything came up in the surveys that would have her change her clearing me that she would call me first and that I wouldn't find out through Dr. Aranow."

"I met Dr. Aranow at the orientation meeting 5/03. I was extremely impressed. First impression was "Wow, is he YOUNG", LOL! He really does know what he's talking about and is quite passionate about what he does. He doesn't dance around the facts and what impressed me most was that he will NOT take you as a patient if he doesn't trust you to follow through with the post op regimen completely. The orientation was very thorough going through facts and figures about obesity, the types of surgeries, why he doesn't do Lap RNY, whose is and isn't a candidate for Lab Band surgery, and then going through what RNY surgery is. Aftercare and support group involvement are mandatory for his patients (which is what I was looking for) and he demands that you put your effort into this. As for the office staff, I have only had a quick phone call to go by, but from what everyone here says, they are awesome :)"
