8 years since my surgery

Just reached my 8 year anniversary and am happy to report that my total weight loss was 120 lbs and I have kept it off.  Ten months ago I decided it was time to get the tummy tuck.  Tired of rashes under the flaps of skin and since a hernia was now creating a problem, I decided to add the tummy tuck to the hernia surgery.  Was not as bad as I thought it was going to be.  My plastic surgon removed 7 1/2 pounds of flap from above and below the belly button (which was relocated).  I still find it hard to wear tighter clothes but I'm working on it. It is a mental thing.  At my 6 month check up, I was very proud to announce that I was wearing my first pair of non elestic waist jeans in I don't know how many years.  This whole journey has been amazing.  I am now 67 years old and am so fortunate to be able to pick up and play with my 2 year old Great Grandson.  To those who have reached thier goal, congratulations!  For those of you just starting, hang in there, you can do it!!!
