Six Weeks Out!

I am now on solid foods! I have not had any problems with the new foods I eat. I did try some pasta though, got in two bites and felt like I ate a huge plate of pasta...I think I will wait a while longer before I try pasta again (tough when you are Italian and was weened on it!).
I am down 27.5 lbs and very happy. I have joined the YMCA and hired a personal trainer to help me get into shape. I am really excited about being active again. I am returning to my Martial Arts class to get my Black Belt and have joined an amateur golf tour.
I am happy for the first time in a long time and I feel my confidence coming back as well!

Home from surgery!

Well surgery was a success! I am home now and actually feel pretty good. I look so forward to the new me! Time will tell! I only had to stay in the hospital for 2 nights. I am so glad to be home.
