Hi,
I have been on this road for many years. There is a fragile dance between symptoms, meds, and side -effects. It takes weeks for the meds to build up in your system, so give it time. Any change in meds is a time to put yourself on yellow alert. I have a friend that I call when this happens at my house. She is then on-call if I need her . I have several family members who have mental health diagnosis', so this is something I have experienced often.

The most important thing I have had in this whole wls journey is prayer support. I knew that I would have to be off my meds for a number of days post surgery, and adjusting to life after is another challenge. My friend started praying for me the minute I told her I was going to have the surgery. She spent time with me , emailed me, and really impressed upon me the importance of emotional healing as I went through this journey. She even stayed with me through my surgery, and 1st week of recovery.  I couldn't  have done this without God. My emotional healing has been the most important part of my total healing.
The weight has come off more quickly than I imagined but the way I think about food has truly changed. My relationship with food has changed. I am still on meds for depression and anxiety, but I'm off all my pain meds, and blood pressure meds.
Everyone is different, but I believe we have some things in common. I hope this gives you some things to ponder, and that you will have peace before your surgery.  Colette
