A year out. A little late, but oh well.

Jan 26, 2010

So I've Finally gotten around to posting my yearly update.  I've kinda stopped posting, and I apologize for that.  No long had to post my measurements because I can do it right on the health tracker, and other than that, my weightloss hasn't been too exciting since august.  I guess what they say, married life really packs on the pounds.  LOL.   well not in my case, but I haven't lost ANY weight since I was married in August.  I do everything right- I drink 64-72 oz of water a day, get in 80-100 grams of protein a day, exercise at LEAST 4 times a week, and I try to stay away from sweets and carbs, I do slip up, but I really get my vitamins, protein, water, exercise, everything we're supposed to get, and I do not see results, its very upsetting.

And now to make matters worst.  My doctor's office is refusing to see me because I have a balance due from my surgery.  I pay $200 a month because my insurance cut me off and I did not know this until after my surgery, so I have to pay for the surgery.  I have a balance of close to $5000 at my surgeons office alone.  I get a lot of hassel from them, but whatever.  I'm doing what I can without a job.  The hospital is only getting $20 a month, and thats a much bigger bill.  Thank goodness there is no interest on medical bills!  I'd be screwed!  Anyways...  Regardless of all of that, I'm still happy with the surgery and my results, I would like to make my goal and get about 15 less lbs, but if not, I'm happy where I am.  and I mean that.  I'm healthy, look great, and happier than I've been in a long long time.

But my pictures say it all:  This first ones are from the month after my surgery, the furthest one on top is from my heaviest prior to surgery and the second row is from just a week ago- at a year out after surgery.  I have lost 121 lbs since my heaviest weight, and 100 lbs since surgery!  I am just so happy, even if it costs me my savings account.  It was worth it.  Be so thankful if you didn't have to pay for this, be SO thankful.

OMFG!!!!

Jun 21, 2009

Oh my fricken god!!!!  Yesterday Ryan and I went shopping, I had a gift card to old navy, and really all I was looking for was a shirt that would compliment one of his for our pre-wedding photo shoot with the photographer.  Well I found a nice top in old navy, and then also found some shorts that were on sale, and since I don't really have any, I figured why not.  So I knew I would have to try things on.  So I took in a size 16 (that's what I'm wearing now.  I put them on and they fell to the ground.  So I sent Ryan to get a 14... they didn't have it, but he came back with a 12.  I'm thinking "yeah right..." He goes "its not that much of a difference, its only 2 sizes smaller, they'll fit."  I'm thinking "What is wrong with you?  Who do you think I am jello girl?  I don't want to squash myself into these like I used to look in my size 22 when I refused to go into a size 24.... because men are SO knowledegable of womens clothing, he knows they'll fit just fine!"  Well, I put them on... without having to wiggle and squirm and laydown to zip them up... and they fit.  THEY ACTUALLY FRICKEN FIT!!!!  (mind you they are tighter than I would prefer, but the honeymoon is not for another 2 months, so I have time to work myself into them!)  That made me so excited, I went and tried on bathingsuits!  I am so ready for the beach now- I got a tankini and a bikini with a little skirt... maybe I'll put up pictures later...  It's still a little scary, but I am comfortable thats the thing!  I don't think I've even thought to try on a bikini since I was like 6!!!!  WOW!  I feel so good about myself, and so thankful that I had this surgery, It is so worth every penny I am spending on it!  Just had to share my amazing wow moment!  I am so in shock that I went from a size 22/24 to a size 12!  And i'm not done!!!!  (p.s. I kinda skipped over 14!!!!)  YAY! YAY!  YAY!!!

4th set of measurements

May 19, 2009

So life is good and its time to mark my measurements again!  I noticed a bit of change in clothes this past month and actually can fit into a few pairs of size 16's which is exciting!  And this is why:

Arms: 15 inches
Thighs: 21 inches
Waist: 40 inches
Bust: 42 inches
Hips: 46 inches

I have lost a total of 18 inches all over in what i've measured...  i could have lost it from other places too- because i don't know how many inches 60 lbs is but i'm very proud of myself!  And will continue to see the success- when i can't see the numbers on the scale I can always look back at the measurements i'm doing something right!  :)

3rd set of measurements

Apr 12, 2009

Hi!  So I have to post my measurements a few days early this month- its gonna be a busy week, so I figured I'd do it a few days early so I don't forget.  I like the results!   :)

Arm: Now 16 inches!
In the past month I lost 1 1/2 inches and total I have lost 2 inches

Thigh: 22 1/2 inches around.
In the past month I lost 4 1/2 inches and total I have lost 5 inches.

Bust: 43 inches
I have lost a total of 1 inch (Which is good! Don't want to loose these suckers!)

Waist: 41 1/2 inches
I've lost 1 1/2 inches total in my waist.

Hips:  now 47 inches.
The past month I lost 1 inch, for a total of 2 inches lost in my hips!

Total I have lost 11 1/2 inches!  So that makes me happy!  To see the difference one way- because i don't see it in the pictures!  I am so proud of myself!

2nd set of measurements

Mar 16, 2009

Hi!  So it's been a month, and I've gone and measured myself to see the difference in inches and to find out where i've lost this 36 lbs from!

Thigh: 27 inches (lost 1 inch)  -measured at my birthmark
Arm: 17 1/2 inches  (Lost 1/2 inch!)- measured at lower mole
Waist:43 inches (stayed the same) - measured at belly button
Hips: 48 inces (lost 1 inch!) - measured at biggest part of bum
Chest:44 inches (stayed the same- which is good because i don't want to loose these puppies!)- measured with a bra on

It's not much- but its something...  Everyone says they can see it in my face, and i noticed it most in my shoulders, so it may be disapearing from place i'm not measureing... its disapearing from somewhere, because the scale keeps going down!
