fran- just a note to let you know you are in my prayers. i am post rny on 11-2-2000,so i anc know a little from where your coming from. i gained 5 pounds in the hospital from i.v. fluids(it sure wasn't from food cause i was npo for 4 days). anyway, best wishes to you, toni saliby

This is the message I justreceived from Fran - Please let her know that you are thinking of her. Anita, Sorry to take so long to write...I have not felt like being at the computer yet...I was in the hospital about 6 days. I went home earlier then they wanted me to....I did not have good experiences while in the hospital...first they tried to intebate me while I was awake...they did something to my nose as my nose popped...then blood began gushing...I was fighting...another Dr. was talking about getting the blood stopped...then I was out....The end of the second day in ICU, I went into some sort of panic attack where I could not catch my breath...needless to say...I stayed longer in ICU....In the next four days...I was miserable...someone came into my room with a scale to weigh the person next to me...I asked if I could please weigh myself...I had gained 32 extra pounds!! No wonder I was having a tough time breathing...they had put an access amount of fluid on my 32 pounds on my lungs and heart...in four days! I started making them get the fluids off me, and to start giving me water pills......So here I am...not feeling good, and having to fight for my recovery. Today I see the surgeon for the first time since the surgery. I will let you know what he says. I have aches and pains, and do not know what is "normal" or not for this kind of surgery. I am just getting to know my body all over again, and understand the new signs it gives me. I sure have an appetite and I guess that is good....I feel like I have lost the extra 30 pounds...thats good! Well hon, gotta run, I am really tired, and I need to rest before I see the surgeon today. Talk with you later tonight or tomorrow.

Hi Fran, I am so happy for you it is a terrible struggle. I have been fighting since june and now I'm suppose to have surgery Nov,16. I will say a prayer for you to have a safe and successful surgery. May God Bless You. you are going to do the snoopy dance WAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Hi Fran - I know you are going great so I will just take this mon=ment to tel you how glad I am that I met you and also how much I look forward to hearing from you when you write. Your messages always make me feel like I have a real friend right next to me.
