Okay, I have now had my surgery on Monday Sept 24th, 2007. I did not have any complications. All went quite well in the hospital. I came home on Wednesday and have not had to use any pain meds.
I had to go back on Tuesday Oct 2, 2007 as my main incesion where the stapler went in was beginning to seep. I was concerned only because it was a whole week after surgery and I had had no sign of it until that Monday. He removed most all of my staples and told me that I was going to have to pack that incesion and let it heal from the inside out. It appears that was is the one that is going to seep if one is as that is where all of the torking and all takes place.
I only made it to about a week and a half before I gave in and ended up eating soft foods. I know I should have held off but I have been doing excellent, I have fould nothing that makes me sick yet, knock on wood. LOL I am very causious as to what I try.
I have lost around 29 pounds so far, I have not done a lot of excerise as of yet just because of the packing to the incesion. I am going to be going on a 1.5 mile fun walk in a week and looking very much forward to that.
Overall I have felt really wonderful and am sure that as I am able to start exercising I will start loosing again.
I go to the Dr again on Friday Oct 19, 2007 and hopefully will be released to go back to work. I am hopeing that as I am able to do this and get myself back on a set schedule things will start falling into place.

Ok my date has been tenitivly set for Sept 24, 2007. It has been an exciting journey, I am sure the next four weeks will now fly by. I am getting quite excited, I just I am not that one statisitic that if it can it will go wrong, I am not afraid of dying but am afraid of ending up gaining instead of loosing. I really cannot afford to do that. Any way my journey is really picking up speed and about to take off full force.
