This is my first blog post, but I guess it is good timing. I just spent the whole weekend in the hospital. Sunday morning I had an EGD to stretch my opening because I was in a lot of pain eating and drinking...even just water. So far so good, I seem to be able to get things down without that pain I was experiencing. I was pretty upset with my surgeon....he gave my mom and I the impression that he was present during the EGD, and then when I went into the hospital Friday night he practically disappeared. No one could reach him on the phone, and then he yelled at my mom when she finally got ahold of him. I don't know....I guess I don't know both sides, so maybe I shouldn't make an assumption....but I went in on Friday at 6:30pm and he didn't come to see me in the hospital until Saturday night around 10pm...and it's not like he didn't know I was there...HE'S THE ONE WHO TOLD ME TO GO!!!!!! Gr...Anyways, I have my 6 week check up on Wednesday. I think i'm down about 40 pounds altogether. I want to start working out pretty soon, the only thing i'm doing now is hand weights. They're only 3 pounds...
