I went for a upper GI, they found a Hitaus Hernia. Before I left they came in and told me that BCBSLA had approve me for the surgery and I have a surgery date of January 11,2012. It took the Insurance company 5 days. I have to go for preop on Jan. 4 & Jan. 10.also have to do one day before surgery liquid diet to shrink the liver.
