Continuing on my journey

Jun 04, 2015

I finally posted some pictures on my Obesity Help site.  I am over half of the way to my goal and I am feeling so much better.  I have discovered that I now want to make my own food instead of buying ready made.  I have no desire to eat anything with sugar.  If I am tempted, which I am not, I have a taste but it no longer fills that emotional need.  I actually crave cold water.  I rarely drank water before my surgery.  I am gradually adding items into my diet.  I am so surprised that only healthy food satisfies me and that I am eating so much less salt and very few concentrated carbs.  Fresh fruits and veggies and fish are my mainstay.  This was absolutely not the case before my surgery.  I had been known to buy a Costco apple pie and to eat it all by myself in two days.  Now, the thought of one bite of that pie with all that sugar actually makes me ill.  I make sure I get my protein by using Premiere Protein to supplement if needed.  I read labels on food voraciously.  I am excited.

This week, I am finally going to the gym.  I have been walking, which was something I could not do before my surgery.  One step at a time.  Down from a size 23 to a size 14.  So pleased.  My hair looks better, as well as my skin.  Please, if any one of you wants to find out about my wonderful Doctor in Puerta Vallarta, contact me.
