Yesterday I had my 1-Year Anniversary.  I am absolutely thrilled with my decision to have this surgery.

My Surgeon and Bariatric Nurse are very pleased with my progress!

I am down 136.5# since I began this journey in November of 2005.  My BMI has gone from 57.8 to 32.8.  I have lost a total of 68 inches overall.  All of my co-morbidities are now gone!  My size has gone from 6X to 14 in slacks.  From 6X to Large in tops.  My ring size has gone from 10 to 7.  I can now wear 17" chains (instead of 24").  Even my shoe size has gone down one size.

I feel so blessed to have this terrific tool and am very careful to exercise, take my supplements, and watch my food choices.  Oh, that is NOT to say that on occasion I have not "pushed" my new tummy to the limit.  But, overall, I try to make wise choices.

It is so wonderful to be able to fit into any restaurant booth, not be "breathless" all of the time, be able to fit easily through turnstiles at airports and various stores, and to be un-selfconsious in Public!  I am so very much healthier!

I would go through the entire process all over again in a heartbeat!

For those of you considering this surgery - I hope your journey is also wonderful.  That your surgery is uneventful.  That your recovery is trouble-free as mine was!
