Hey Corey! Glad to hear you are doing so well! You need to post a new picture so that we can all SEE how well you are doing :-) I really hope that they approve the follow-up of your story on MTv. If they do, let us know when it is going to premier so we can watch it. As for you "fat," you probably actually have loose skin. Going to the gym will help tone that loose skin and prevent it from being so bad once you've lost all your weight.

Corey, I just saw the TV show about you & Amy. I just read your profile. You're doing fabulous at only 2 wks. out! Can't believe the amount of exercise you're able to do. Yes, I'd just carry a thingy of water around w/ me at work. You have taken a big step for a young person--what a difference it will make in your whole adult life! Best wishes!

Hey Corey. I don't know if you remember me. We met in Dr. Naaman's office for our 1 week post-op. I just thought I would see how you are doing. Haven't seen any posts from you. How are you enjoying the special diet? If you are anything like me, you can't stand the sight of soup :-) Well, I just thought I would just drop a little note hello. Hope you are doing well. -- Mickey

Corey, I'm so proud of you! You are doing such an awesome job with your weight loss. It's so nice to see you doing so well and getting out to exercise. I know what you mean about needing water. When I get thirsty I need something right away. I'm not sure what to tell you to do for that except take some with you on the floor, of course that's going to depend on what your boss says though. I wish you continued sucess!

Butterflys are a great symbol of WLS patients. Like the caterpillar, we move slowly. We are not particularly attractive - and most of us are a bit round. Soon, we enter the cocoon stage, where we hide from everyone and everything, and EAT and SLEEP. Then, when the time is right, we emerge from the cocoon, spread our wings, and when they are dry, we fly off, seeking summer flowers. I love the analogy, and can't think of a thing that is better. So, first the butterflies in your stomach, and in your thoughts - pretty soon, you will have them in your heart, and you will be so proud of yourself, and feeling darn good, too!" Best of luck. Don't forget to wiggle your new wings. :) May God Bless You and Yours.
