I did not personally need a heart cath, but my do-worker did. It turned out that it was a shadow on the film and she did not need further correction. She went on with surgery as planned and is doing great. For me, I had to do the stress test as my ekg was "abnormal" However I passed the stress test and then was cleared for surgery. I am doing very well too. I guess what I want to stress here is that even if you do need something "fixed" all the more reason why you need this surgery. As my doctor told me, when your surgeon is operating, he cant be worried you are going to have a heart attack or something. Try not to worry, I know this is stressful, but it will most likely all work out. Wishing you the best.
