Gretchen B.
I did 21 years in the Navy.I didn't have weight issues until. My first marriages started to fail. Then I started running and in 2001 ran a marathon and wound up in the hospital with my legs cut open from my ankles to my knees. I had most of my shin and ankle muscles removed and was not expected to walk again. I did walk but the loss of musles and weight gain cause me to also break both feet 3 times so my ability to exercise is limited. Now arthritis and fibromyalgia and obesity related illness with my physical limitations have made me a perfect candidate for the sleeve surgery. I pray the Lord will help me thru and keep reminding me that I have tried everything on my own and that the surgery is not a cop out or easy way out. It is a tool to give me the weight loss boost I need to get healthy.
My husband and family are very supportive and I have friends who have done this surgery and friends who are supporting me.
