Rhonda Lassabe
I am a 30 year old mother of 3 beautiful children, boy 12, girl 6 and girl 10 months.
I have been overweight since I was a child. At 10 years old I attended T.O.P.S meetings with my mother. I steadily gained weight throughout school. At 17 I became pregnate with my first child and doubled my size. Six years later I became pregnate again. I first began a process of researching gastric bypass surgery just before becoming pregnate with my second child. I moved to missouri and tried to get back on track with pursuing the WLS in Columbia Missouri. I have had several tests ran and done the paper work and have visited the Dr. and had my psych. eval. I then found out I was pregnate which yet again halted my process. Fisrt off this was very surprising because the doctors said that I wasnt able to have any more children because I was full of poly cystic ovaries and was insullin resistant and of course my weight. But here I was pregnate again. I had a very rough pregnancy, all my pregnancies were, because of being obese I had Pre Eclampsia, it just got worse with each pregnancy, This one being the worse ever. I had liver problems and was spilling protein excessivly. I and the baby could have died this time. I tried to have this one natural as I did the other two, but unfortunatll I had no choice to have C section this time because our heart rates dropped dangerously low. None the less, we are good today, we have recovered and I have a healthy new baby girl, as for me, I need to do something to make me healthier to ensure that I can be around to watch her and her brother and sister grow up. One thing of having a C section though, has somewhat encouraged my ability to heal after a surgery. I healed up quite nicely and better than my dr's expected me toThis is very encouraging news to me. I am around 370 lbs. today with problems sleeping and my blood pressure is still fluctuating, I have a family history of high blood pressure and heart disease. I have back problems that doctors say onlyweight loss can help. I am more than ready for a big change inmy life. Where I am at is I called today and spoke with someone at missouri bariatric services and unfortunately I DO have to start all over, but I am willing to do whatever it takes to make this change in my life happen. So I scheduled to go to the next seminar which is Dec. 4, 2006.
