Time flies when your having fun and dropping weight... I lost 160 lbs this year and it literally saved my life. Right before my 1 yr. anniversary in January, I went for my annual check up with my gyn. I had felt a lump but hell... I'm a little lumpy everywhere at this point :-) and didn't think much of it. Turns out I have breast cancer. Surgery is scheduled for next week but the biopsy was very promising with it showing a slow growing/non aggressive form. Upon speaking with the surgeon, I was worried that my hormone levels fluctuating so much this year as I shed the weight somehow caused the cancer. He assured me that the surgery probably saved my life because A- Its a proven fact that obesity raises your risk of breast cancer B- I probably wouldn't have felt the lump if I didn't lose all this weight and c- I'm in much better shape now to take on this new fight... So I'm beyond grateful for the WLS surgery for so many more reasons than I would have ever thought! I'm off to the next fight but my WLS has prepared me for the this and I can't wait to kick cancers ass just like I beat my weight issues. For anyone considering WLS it truly is a lifesaver! 

Went for my 6 month check up. Boy does time fly! It was so nice to see the office staff.. I havent seen them since my 3 month check up. They were all so supportive and happy that I have lost 105 lbs. I brought them each a bottle of champagne to celebrate my 100 lbs so far.. I could not have done it without them.

Cant wait to see the next 6 months brings. I never would have believed I could have lost this much weight and felt so good. Dr Simon and team are the best! 

Went for my 3 week check up on Thursday. Lost 25.9 lbs. Feel great! Doctor cleared me to fly for work Sunday and lifted my weight restrictions. AAHhhh... Have my life back! 

So happy that I did this. Cant wait for the next weigh in and follow up. Never would have thought I would be happy to get on a scale :)
