I am six days out and doing well. Tire easily and seem to e drinking all the time...it is difficult to get all the liquids in. You almost have to get up early and stay up late to get your liquids in. Some soreness at incisions sites, but not unbearable. My husband is being a real sport. He blends and measures my meals and tries to come up with new, healthy things for me to try. Of course he also nags me to drink...but you take the good with the bad. He is wonderful and I know he only wants me to be healthy.

I am scheduled for my pre-op testing tomorrow. I got a packet from MMC with a physical assessment form to fill out. Dr. Cobean's office scheduled my pre-op testing to be done here so I don't have to travel to Portland for blood work. My anesthesia consult will be done over the phone and I will meet the anesthesiologist the morning of surgery. I can't believe how fast this is going now.

I just got off the phone with Anthem and I have been approved.  The letter was generated yesterday and sent out today so I will get it tomorrow.  Now I just have to get about a months worth of stuff done ahead at work so the entire school system doesn't come crashing down around there ears while I am recuperating!!

I got a call yesterday from Bethany at Dr. Cobean's office. My tentative surgery date is October 22, pending insurance approval. She submitting my paperwork yesterday and said that Anthem usually responds within 24 to 48 hours, so now it is just a short wait to see what they say.

Waiting always seems to be the hardest part. My consent is signed so now I wait for the phone call that I have been waiting for for over 5 years.
