Finally I have a date.  January 28th.  I went in yesterday and they did all the pre-op tests.  So now I just have to fill shelves with liquids and mush, prepare the house, make sure childcare is covered, etc.  I'm excited, scared, and just overwhelmed.  They will be doing the hernia repair at the same time, however this may mean that they have to do an open incision.  At this point I'm just ready to start my new life and re-find myself.  Somewhere under this excess is me.  Then I can be the mom and wife I want to be.  So say a pray and wish me luck.  We're off!

Yippee!   Insurance approved me!  :)  So my next appointment has been set up for Jan. 22 and then we'll set up the surgery.  So yet one more step closer.  Yes!!!!!!!!!!!! It's been really hard to stick to anything this week as I've had a horrible cold/ flu virus.  I even slept for like 36 hours straight, which I never do.  So I'm hoping to get back on track as I feel better. 

Well I got to go see the doctor today and am I step closer to surgery.  It looks like if all goes well surgery will be in January.  Good way to start a new year.  :)  I have some goals to work on, cutting sugar/fat, eliminating sodas/caffienne, watching portions, eating slower, increasing activity level. ( Which might I add is not real easy with a hernia at least the size of a cantalope.)  The rest won't be easy, but at least it's doable.  I read one ladies page yesterday and she sounded as panic ridden as me.  Today however I feel more in control and ready to start a new life.
