I need some momentum.
Aug 23, 2011
Well, I've made it to past the month mark. During my liquid diet stage, I thought this day would NEVER come.
So, after being able to eat "real" food again.... I'm getting annoyed. I know that every journey starts with the first step, and if this is a marathon, I'm about to hit the 1/2 km mark. I know. I'm trying to be patient.
But after months of waiting for this to get here, I'm slowing down on the loss. I feel I need to get more calories to let my body know everything's a-ok, but they have to be purposeful too and I'm just not sure what to do.
On the other hand, I did get to go shopping and buy some clothes that look ok and will look FAB in another 10 lbs. I'm getting there.... eye on the prize!

Got my Date.... YAY!
Jul 05, 2011
I'll keep this brief as possible. I've worked for the last 8 months to get my insurance approval for RnY surgery. I have a date... July 21st! It's getting very close, and I'm just as nervous as excited. Today is my first day of the 2 week pre-op diet... and I'm already pretty hungry! Mind over matter!
My history is that I have been overweight my whole life. I've had PCOS for as long as I've had my period, which of course was never normal. I married the love of my life at one of my heaviest weights and we're excited to start a family, but my weight has kept that at bay. I've tried everything that seemed to make sense (no stringent diets like atkins for example) and it was all a no-go.
So, I'm excited to start the next part of my life, the rest of my life! Best of luck to all others as well!
