Yippeee,,,,,I finally hit the 130's I can't believe it!  I thought it would never happen I was stuck in the 140's for what seems in eternity.

My goal was to hit the 130's  by mid January.  I was a few days off but that's o.k.  I am now officially 14lbs away from my personal goal and only 11lbs away from my doctors goal. Hopefully February will bring me to goal;-)

ciao for now

It's a New Year!

Jan 01, 2008

Happy New Year!  The holidays were ok.  but Im glad they are over now.  I had been anxiously waiting for 2008 so now I am on the down slide til my husband comes home from Afganastan in late May.  I made it through the holidays and I was at a stand still on the scale for about a week now. Today I have began going back to the basic post-op surgery diet.  I am cutting out the carbs I had been eating lately. I also began exercising.  I wasn't doing very well during the holidays with exercising but with the new year it has made me want to start new again. So I started back yesterday on January 1st. It is said what ever you do on the 1st day of the year, you will do all year so I made sure I exercised yesterday.

I weighed in at 145lbs this morning so I have lost a total of 62lbs this past 3 and half months.
I started in a size 18 and I am now wearing a 10.
I am hoping to be in the 130's by mid January.
It has always been my goal to reach my personal goal of 125lbs by February 14th.  We will see if that is still possible. I am 20lbs away now.

November 2007

Nov 27, 2007

Well I made it through Thanksgiving with No problems.  I just tasted a little bit of everything.  Holly and I went home for Thanksgiving to Massachusetts and everyone was surprised to see the weight loss. I hit the 50lb weight loss mark on Thanksgiving Day.
We went to the movies on Thanksgiving night and I did eat the popcorn for the first time since the surgery.  I love popcorn and was worried I would not be able to eat it.  No problems eating the popcorn  what I relieve. However I did only eat a handful which was a huge difference compared to my old days of eating the whole bucket;-)
This morning November 28th I weighed 156lbs.  I feel truely blessed to have had this surgery. It has been just over two months now and I still can not believe I had the surgery and the weight is just peeling off.  Al is still in Afganastan and he has not seen me since 10 days after my surgery.  He will not let me send him any pictures of me he wants to see the total difference in June when he returns home. I tell him every week how much weight I have lost. But it is hard knowing he can't see it.  I finally for the first time in my life weigh less then Al. I took a picture of myself stepping on the scale today reading 156lb and sent it to him.
I am hopeing to be in the 140's by Christmas!

Well Yesterday was 5 weeks since my surgery day.  I am feeling 100% back to normal again.  I am really glad I had the surgery although somedays are a bit of a challange emotionally.  I am not physically hungry but I do miss eating the foods I use to eat.  We went to the movies the other day and not having the popcorn in the theater was really hard.  Exspecially when you can smell it and everyone around you is eating it!
I just try and keep the end picture in mind and that helps me get through times like that.

This week has been a slow weightloss week for me.  I was losing a pound a day and now It has been 1/2 pound a day.  I stay on the plan and I exercise everyday.  I just hope it continues coming off steady.
I began at 207 back in August and now today I weighed in at 171.
It just seems to be teasing me day to day to get to the 160's Im hoping by Monday I can say Im in the 160's.
