WELL IT'S BEEN 6 MONTHS!!

WELL IT'S BEEN ALMOST 6 MONTHS AND I HAVE HAD SOME SET BACKS BUT I'M STILL LOSING.  
 I STARTED THIS WHOLE WAIT IN JAN. 2007 AT A TOP WEIGHT OF 330 AS OF LAST WEEK MY WEIGHT WAS 229, I WAS SO SURPRISED I STARTED CRYING, I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING AND IT'S GOING SO FAST.
  I HAVEN'T POSTED FOR AWHILE DUE TO SOME COMPLICATIONS I HAVE BEEN HAVING, WHEN THE SURGEON TELLS YOU THERE IS ONLY 5% OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE ALOT OF TROUBLE WITH THE SURGERY, WELL I'M IN THAT 5%.I'M STARTING TO FEEL BETTER NOW. THANK GOD!!!!!
  IN THE 6 MONTHS SINCE SURGERY I HAVE LOST 80LBS, THE ONLY THING THATS HAPPENING NOW THAT I WASN'T EXPECTING FOR AWHILE IS MY SKIN IS STARTING TO HANG ON MY THIGHS AND NOW MY ARMS ALITTLE, BUT I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN SO I'LL DEAL WITH IT. SOME THINGS I CAN'T TOLERATE POST OP IS CHOCOLATE,IT'S THE ONLY THING REALLY. I TRIED RED MEAT AND AS LONG AS IT'S TENDER I CAN DO IT. OH ONE OTHER THING THAT BOTHEERS ME IS ANYTHING BREADED,ANY BREADING MAKES ME SICK. THE ONLY THING I HAVE CRAVED IS PIE SO WE MAKE ALOT OF SUGAR FREE PIES.THANKSGIVING WAS DIFFERENT EVERYONE WAS WHINING ABOUT OVEREATING AND FOR ONCE IT WASN'T ME!!!
   I HAVE SOME NEW PICS I'LL PUT UP SOON. 
 WELL I BETTER GET GOING BYE FOR NOW!!!

I have started my liquid diet today and this is the hardest thing I have ever had to do, I am already feeling funky! I know I have to do this to have my surgery and that is the ultimate goal! I just think this is going to be the longest 13 days of my entire life but I will provail!!! well thats all for now I'll try to write more before surgery.

I got the call and I am having surgery on June 5th, I can't believe it's so soon. I am getting excited but the closer it gets the mor scared I get too! I have 4 appt. left before surgery; the surgeon, my NUT class, a physical andthe learning center, and 1 more appt. with the phych. Dr. I am worried about the liquid diet, but otherwise I am excited.  
 Thats all for nowI''l keep everyone updated.

I had another appt. with the NUT. today and she has released me for surgery, I am off soda and have lost 5 more lbs. with my food changes and she is very happy with my progress.
 I am now waiting again for that phone call that they are going to finish my pre op appt. and give me a date. I am going to go crazy waiting knowing I am this close.
 I'm going through alot of stress lately, 1st my da had a manic episode which makes him quite unbearable, we put him in the hospital to eval. him and I am so glad he is now back to his old self and on the right meds. and they are making some arraingments to help me as his care giver since my family is worthless!
 Then my son got into a fight last Tuesday and has to go infront of the DA for his charges then last FridayI got a call that he was caught with a pot pipe and he is suspended all this week, I talked to the police today and they are only giving him a ticket for that. I guess it was going to happen eventually due to our towns high school being full of drugs. I just thought I raised him better but I guess peer presure is stronger then the rath of mom.LOL!!!!
 Well I let you all know when I get my date!!!

 I PASSED THE EVAL!!!!!! YIPPY!!!!!!!
  I GOT THE CALL TODAY THAT MY INSURANCE WILL COVER MY SURGERY AND I HAVE AN APPT. WITH THE NUT. ON THE 23rd THAN DEPENDING WHAT SHE SAYS I MAY GET A DATE SOOOOOON!!!!!!!!
  I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING, I JUST WANT TO CRY, I WILL BE ABLE TO LOSE AND KEEP IT GONEAND LOOK GOOD IN NO TIME!! YIPPY!!!!!!

I had my appt. for phych eval except noone called me to tell me the Dr. called in sick, so I took the written part of the test (700+ doots to fill in is a few to many) and I am going in for the Dr. part on Feb. 26th I am getting so excited. I have started the multi vitamins so my body gets use to them and I have tried some of the protein shakes all I have to say is YUCKY!!! I am worried about the liquid diet part due to the fact these shakes suck. I will update as soon as I have my next appt.!

I have finally began my journey, I have my 1st appt. for my psych evaluation on Feb. 7th and I can't believe it, I was not expecting to hear from my surgeons office until the middle of Jan. because they have had people waiting for the center of excellance since Feb. of 2006 due to the changes from Medicare. Well I was wrong!!! I also was expecting LAP BAND and I found out they will only cover RNY so I guess thats what I'm going to be having. I'm excited, scared, and happy all at the same time, I have read on hear of people feeling this way and I never thought I would, but now it's happening and I DO!!!!!
 All I guess I can say is YIPPY!!!!!!!

AS MOST OF YOU KNOW I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THE CENTER OF EXCELLANCE TO GO THROUGH AT MY BARIATRIC CENTER SO MY INSURANCE WI;; COVER THE SURGERY, WELL I GOT THE BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT, WE GOT IT AND BY THE MIDDLE OF JANUARY I'LL BE STARTING MY EVALUATIONS. i HAVE ONLY BEEN WAITING SINCE AUG. OF 06 BUT IT SEEMS LIKE FOR EVER AND NOW THE WAITING IS ALMOST OVER YIPPY!!!!!
  I'M HAVING MY SLEEP STUDY ON JAN. 15TH BECAUSE MY REGULAR DOC HAS SET THAT UP DUE TO MY FATIQUE AND BREATHING PROBLEMS ALREADY SO THAT WILL BE OUT OF THE WAY. WELL I WILL WRITE AND LET EVERYONE KNOW WHEN I FIND OUT MORE.
