6 months

after 6 months I have lost 54 lbs. wow. went to try on jeans and after several pairs realized that yes I could actually take a smaller size. it has been fairly easy losing the weight. A recent fill had to be unfilled 2 weeks later. It was so tight I couldn't even get water down. But this did not start until 3 days after my fill and I put off going to the doctor's (stupid) which caused me to become dehydrated and dizzy. within 24 hrs of my unfill, i felt human again. so don't be stupid, call the doctor immediately when something is wrong.

3 months after surgery
Dec 23, 2010
Hello,
It's been almost 3 months since my lap band surgery and I'm thrilled that I did it. My first meeting (in July '10) with the dr. I was 254 lbs. I use this as my starting weight. I lost 15 lbs on the 2 week pre-surgical diet and as of this date have a lost a total of 35 lbs. Its not always been easy and so far I have a total of 3 cc's fill. This is not easy - easier than the RY or sleeve, but I still have to pay attention to everything. Sometimes I still forget and eat to fast, which promptly sends me to the bathroom or if my food is not soft enough (like undercooked broccoli) that creates a blockage. But overall I'm very happy with my surgery. I love fitting into clothes that have been hanging around for years. (I have a beautiful leather coat my husband bought me about 7 years ago - that I can finally wear once again!)
During the overnight stay in the hospital, the nurses wanted me to walk at least 3 times. After the 3rd time they let me walk alone and I got in about 7 walks and 2 more before I left the next morning! I was terrified to eat or drink when I came home and it wasn't until my first office visit that I began to drink more normal. I have also developed a huge craving for Gorton's Grilled fish fillets, tuna or any grilled fish.
I still have my "fat" days. I am trying to retrain my mind to focus on all the postitives. I was bummed yesterday because I wanted to fit into some "skinny" pants for Christmas and I didn't quite make it. BUT I fit into my beautiful leather coat!!
I'm also at a stand still because I've nibbled to much during my baking sessions. I cut way back on how much I baked for the holidays, but I still nibbled here and there. So today I'm back on track and commited to not over eating or eating the wrong things at the Christmas get together tomorrow. Good luck to all and much success also. Happy Holidays.

wow, I'm so excited to do this - kinda nervous also. I've on told one friend. My husband is not allowed to tell anyone. I want to be sure everything is ok first.
