Six months in my new beginning!

Jul 13, 2010

I can not believe that it has been six months since my surgery day. I never would have guessed that I would have felt so much better. I'm so surprised when people see me and tell me how great I look. I never knew I felt so sluggish. I have more energy, and my knees don't hurt. I still want to eat when I'm sad or worried. I catch myself putting things in my mouth when I'm not hungry. I will have to watch this forever I'm sure. My life can only get better.

Four Months Post op

May 12, 2010

I can hardly believe it's been 4 monthes and the weight is coming down. I'm still having trouble eating small bites. I then have an upset stomach and nausea. I'm enjoying buying smaller clothes even though somethimes it can be very hard lettin go of my favorite outfits. My family has been my favorite support and I love them for this.
I walk Monday to Friday on my treadmill and I have decided to be able to go a faster speed than a longer distance. I go 3.8 mph for 1 mile and I'm very tired after this.

Three months

I can't believe that it has been three months already. I still dump on foods that I could eat yesterday and not for left overs. I'm still having trouble eating too too fast and feeling full. I haven't been sorry that I had this surgery, I feel happy that I was given another chance to be the real me.

Two Months

Mar 13, 2010

Hurray I'm surviving... I'm doing great today, a week ago was scary as I was very sick every time I ate from Thursday until Monday morning. I was sure that something was going wrong. Sunday with the encouragement from my daughters and husband I called a doctor to see what was going on. How could a person eat such little food and still be sick. I ached from my throat to my lower belly. Tuesday I called Dr. Pop's office I though that I was in real trouble. Tracy convinced me that after a few days on liquids I would be feeling good again, sure enough I lived. Monday I'm back to work and a little nervous, but I have faith in my ANGEL and she will help me with my bumps. ( Thanks Shelly without you I'm not sure that I would be doing so well.)

One month anniversary

Feb 14, 2010

I can hardly believe it has been one month yesterday. I have had some trouble with a few foods but after reapproachment I have found that I can eat without having any trouble. I have never regretted having the surgery and I have vowed only to look forward. I am truly gratful to have had it. I just hope next month goes as well.

Two weeks plus 2 days

Jan 28, 2010

It's been 2 weeks and 2 days since I had my surgery. I'm feeling pretty good. I have been walking 1 mile @ 2.2 mph everyday this week and doing great. Next week  I will turn up the speed a little more and walk 1.5 miles. I eventually hope to be able to walk 5 miles per day. I weighed in @ 222lbs. the day of my surgery and last Monday I weighed in at 219.5. I'm very surprised that my knees don't hurt yet. I feel like I can take on the world.

After a long wait I have finally received my surgery date of January 13 2010. I am very excited as finally I will have some help. Now all I need is to loose 10 pounds. (this will be very hard). My journey has just started.
