11 Weeks Post Op

Jun 20, 2007

Hi everyone, just wanted to give an update on where I am.  I have lost 48 pounds to date.  I am almost at my first milestone of 50 pounds.  I am feeling so good.  I eat when I am hungry.  I still can't get more that 3 ounces in at a time.  I think I am doing okay though with the requirements.  I need to exercise more.  Hope everyone is doing well.  I hope to upload some pictures soon.  Still waiting for my daughter to help me with that.

Hello everybody.  Sorry I haven't posted in a while.  My journey has not been without some rocks in the road.  I am glad to say that I am feeling much better.  I am able to eat and drink now, which was a task three weeks ago.  I must say that I feel so good now.  I am down 43 pounds since my surgery on April 5th.  I am walking at least one hour every day.  I have the energy now that I haven't had in 7 years.  I can't stop saying how good I feel.  I ate steak over the weekend and had no problems.  There are still some things that I try to eat like bread that just fill me up instantly after the first bite and I try to avoid it.  I hope that the weight will keep on melting off over the summer.  I have went from a size 24 to a size 18 and even some 16's work.  I am happy I did this.  I try to make everyday a new beginning and try to eat something different, just to see if I can.  You have to keep it new and interesting or you will get discouraged.  I hope everyone that reads this will get some inspiration.  The surgery is not the easy way out of being obese.  It is work.  The surgery just gives you the willpower through a limited stomach capacity to make it work.  I will update again in a couple of weeks, and hopefully have some pictures posted by then.

yesterday's nutritionist visit

Hey everyone,

Wanted to let everyone know that I went to see Diane yesterday and of course go weighed.  I am down 23 pounds in two weeks.  Today is my 2 week anniversary.  It has been hard.  I am not hungry and have to make myself eat and that makes it hard to get the protein and water in, but it has to be done.  I had ordered some protein bullets online that are 3 ounces and 42 grams of protein.  I hope that I can get most of the protein and water in duing the day and only have to drink a little of the protein at night.  Nothing with that amount of protein in it is going to taste good.  Keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
