Surgery Day
This was it..I am in a country not far from the American border getting a needle stuck in my arm. Hospital Angeles in Mexico is where I am at and I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared. They did all the paperwork stuff and showed me to my room. I got settled in and that's when the fun started. I got poked and prodded and in a gown that actually fit! I guess they expect everyone to be super huge. I spoke with the different types of doctors and was wheeled to another room where I laid there thinking "what was I thinking!!??" Drugs....more drugs...surgery...and it's over. It's done, I can now officially have a shirt that says I'm with the band" and it be true.
Next Day...
I am feeling pretty good; at least a heck a lot better than I thought I would feel. I was hungry but after trying to eat a cup of Jello for three hours I determined I was full. I walked the halls and was able to meet other banders and we all exchanged email addresses and saw others were doing. In the evening I wasn't feeling so good and I was feeling dizzy; I went up to the nurses station where I passed out. My sugar and blood pressure dropped and my body had enough.
Saturday...
Time to go home....scared because I feel like I am on my own now. On the first plane I sat behind First Class and they were being served lunch. Salad, Soup, Sandwich, Fruit.....I got a cup of ice water. Yummy! On the second plane they were serving snacks and I thought no problem I can sit here while everyone eats peanuts...they got Ruffles Potatoe Chips and a sandwich of their choice; I got apple juice. Got to Love those Liquids!
Sunday...
First full day home and believing I can do this.
Monday...
Tired. I overdid it today.
Tuesday...
I weighed myself just becasue I was curious and I had lost 14 pounds!
Wednesday...
My birthday! I celebrated by sleeping in and eating a bit of ice cream! It was sooooooo good!
Thursday...
I went back to work today and I have exhausted. I want to sleep. I weighed myself again not sure why; I think it is because I didn't believe that I had lost 14 pounds! I was right I have lost 16 so far! WOW!
Next Day...
