2 Weeks Post Op

Happy Anniversary to me.
...it has been 2 weeks since my surgery. I am feeling good and looking forward to soft food stage. I can't believe how well all of this is going. I have lost almost 18 lbs in 2 weeks. I am not hungry and I don't feel deprived of anything although I am looking forward to less liquids just because not many choices.
I feel good though my incisions are still quite sore. Even my boys are saying "mama you look so much thinner already..i'm proud of you" Dr. Alvarez was just wonderful and would so go through this all over again. See you in a week
5 days post op VSG

Well. here i am 5 days post op of my VSG....I feel pretty good but my stitches are a little sore. I am glad to be feeling better honestly because after the first day my thought was "what the heck was I thinking I must have lost my mind to have done this" I am glad to be over the hump. I am doing well with my fluid intake though I believe it has been a little harder since I had a hernia repair also. I may not even have to take my Nexium anymore...wouldn't that be nice. I went to buy a food scale yesterday so I could get a more accurate acount of how much fluids I am taking in and while I was at the store I bought a new scale. Our old scale was approxiately 16+ years old. I took it out of the box and installed the new battery. I had no intention of getting on the scale for at least a month so as not to be disappointed but I wanted to make sure it worked and wouldn't require returning it to the store. I weighed and then made my husband weigh twice because I was convinced it was broken. I have already lost 9 lbs. 9 LBS....omg it would take me weeks to loose 9 lbs and by then i would be so frustrated i would say to heck with it and down a bag of potato chips. I am in shock. will keep ya posted.....logging off smiling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I am so excited I have a surgery date scheduled....August 13, 2009. Yee Haw Now I have to wait..ugh...Lord give me patience.

I was hoping my passport would be here by now and I am so impatient I hate waiting!!!!
Turned in paperwork

Well I have turned in all my paperwork for surgery. The main thing I am waiting on is my passport. Once I have that in hand I can then set up my surgery date. Wish me luck!
