"Dr. Oakley has been great to work with. He is a true professional in every sense of the word. He displays a no nonsense approach with a friendly presentation. The office staff are friendly and supportive, making one feel comfortable from the very first contact. He has a comprehensive aftercare program and stresses the benefits of the support group. After attending a couple of support group meetings, I found them to be very important to the process. He was open about what the surgery could and could not do. He stresses that WLS is only a tool and that to maintain any weight loss, one must change eating patterns and exercise daily. Both his surgical competence and bedside manner were highly commendable. He took what I related seriously and did additional tests to ensure that I had no leaks that could be causing the dry heaves I had the night after surgery!
