obesity, hmmm a life long battle for me. i was born 8lbs 9oz and thats when the battle began.lol. i found out about lapband in 2005. made an appt with dr. roye on the 15 of feb 2006 and have been waiting for ins approval since then. but i never gave up with phone calls literally every week to the dr.s office and ins. meanwhile i did alot of research ,saw videos, so many that i could perform the surgery myself. well just when i was going to give up on july 27 2008 i received a letter with an appt for preop tests. again i didnt get my hopes high called the office and asked exactely what this meant. they said i ve been approved no letter from the ins nor the dr. except the appts. huh?! oh who cares im on my way to a better life. at 40 yrs of age im at my heavist of 300lbs. hopefully will find my way to 190 or so. i would just like to tell everyone who reads this and knows how inspiring it is to see people loose all this weight. i just want to hug all of you. love ya all.
