Second day

Apr 26, 2007

11:30 am -- I was so hungry a little while ago, I ate a banana and my baggie of baked Cheetos. Now all I have to eat for lunch is leftover tuna casserole and pudding. It might not be enough.
Last night I went to Ruby Tuesday's with my friend Nicole and ate a cheese dip with tortillas. Ugh, I so didn't need to eat it; I was already kind of full from my dinner, but I ate it anyway. I do that all the time.

4:45pm -- I don't know why some people think it's okay to sinert their own 2c regarding someone else's personal, important decision. Two of my co-workers (obviously without weight issues of their own!) told me how they disagree with my decision to have the surgery, and that I should just exercise and eat less/better. Oh, really?! I understand their concern for me (they don't want me to go through the surgery) but don't they realize I know what I should be doing/able to do? If I could, I'd have done it already, a long time ago! I could write a book on eating healthy and exercising, you know!

The Beginning

Apr 25, 2007

Yesterday, I met with Dr. Isaac Greenberg at Tufts New England Medical Center. He asked me about my emotional wellbeing, and before I see him again in six weeks I have to get a new therapist, get on a new medication, and generally be happier. No easy feat, but I'll manage. Mary took me into Boston for the appointment and Dr. Greenberg recognized her. He also told her to get her ass back into gear so now she'll be attending monthly meetings for the next year with him. I'll probably join Curves with her since I have to lose 35 lb before the surgery. Ugh! But I've done it before, I can do it again.
Some jerk brought in a huge container of store-bought chocolate chip cookies. How dare they! The last thing I wanted to do was to write down "chocolate chip cookie" as the first thing I ate today. (As of today, I have to write everything down that I eat.) But, I was a good girl; I didn't have even one little bite of a cookie!

Kind of annoying!

This morning I went back into Boston to see Dr. Pino, exercise physiologist. I left a little before 10:30 and checked in with the secretary at 11:26. All good.

He calls me into his office at 11:40.

He was done with me by 11:50.

I drove an HOUR into Boston so he could see me for TEN MINUTES? Needless to say I was a little perturbed, but I saved my breath and headed home. I got home around 12:50 and ate lunch and was back at work at around 1:40. *headdesk*

I see him again on May 29 at 10:30am.
