Time has pass so fast, I had my surgery in Feb, 2007 and I feel Bless.  I have my health an amazing husband and the most wonderful son a mother can ask.  One thing that I never thought I was going to be in this life is a Fitness instructor... A few month ago I reach a goal and that was to become a Zumba Fitness instructor, I love to dance and to make people happy and I feel that through this accomplishment I'm able to do it.  This has help me keep on track while having fun!!! If you out there have not try one of this class I highly recomended.  If you leave in the Charlotte Area near the University Area get intouch with me... I will love for to come and join me.

I.m celebrating 2 years, I cannot belive that 2 years have pass since my surgery.  I feel great I have maintain at between 127 lbs - 129 lbs.  I have not have any health problems, Thank God!!!. 

I want to thanks all the support that I have been and continue getting from everyone here, my family, my friends (Darice), and Dr. Kuwada (he save my life).

This pass year its been good and this year its starting in a good way too.  My son has been accepted to go to UNC State and Ambry Briddle in FL.  I'm so proud of him (my baby is going to college ).  I always knew he was, he is such a great kid and excellent student.

For those of you that are starting this journey keep on going it gets better, life gets better and for those that are already walking next to me congratulations and lets keep on going.  For those that are ahead of me I want to let you know that you are my inspiration on those days that I feel down for any reason I come here and read your messages and they always cheer me up and give me hopes.

I know that I have not posted anything since April.  I want to let you all know that I'm doing great, I feel amazing and I have maintain under my personal goal.  I love to go shopping and not trying the cloths at the store because I know that it will fit.  I thank God everyday for helping me and puting people like you on my path. 
My friend Treva is having her RNY surgery this Tues, Dec 16th please pray that all goes well and that soon she will feel great like I do.  Hope you all have a bless Christmas and may the New Year be fill with health and peace.

I'm so excited that I need to share a WOW moment that happened to me two Saturdays ago.  We went to visit my family up in Long Island, NY.  This was the first time everyone up there saw me since loosing 115 lbs (now 117).  They were surprise and couldn't belive it.  Everyone was happy for me, my nephew Jordan keep telling me how proud he is.  I love him very much he has giving me a lot of support. 

Let me get to my WOW moment before I continue telling you about my trip.  Melissa is my 15 year old niece we went to her room to try on some pants of hers and not only did they fit, they also were a little big, but still able to wear them without falling off .  I never imagine trying my niece's cloth it was fun, she even gave me a pair of jean Yeah!!!!.  It was funny to see the second glance that they gave me when they saw me because they could not belive it was me.  Love you guys!!!

On this trip my son and I brough Johnny (and Midnight) with us to meet the family and visit NY for the 1st time.  Everyone liked him and made him feel welcome!!!. My dear friends Alice and Richie spend a day with us and gave us a tour of NYC we visited a lot of places it was fun.  I'm so thankful for their hospitality.  They are happy that my son and I are happy and they approved of Johnny.  Their approval is important for me because they are like my parents and I love them very much.  

We also met with Darice and Kenny my adopted sister!!! we went to dinner and have a nice evening together.  I was happy to see them, they have giving me so much support and continue to be there for me.  I'm so proud of Darice she is doing great and soon will look even more beautiful (she had her RNY March 3rd).  They also like Johnny and are happy for us.  They are true friends and that is hard to find.

We had a blast it was the best trip we ever had going back to visit my family.  We were not rushing to go anywhere like in past visits.  I cannot wait to go back.  I'm happy to see my sister looking good and feeling better.  I love her with all my heart.  Lets not forget Gabi my youngest niece she always a big help when we visit she likes to play with the dogs and always help me walk them (you too Jordan).  

It was good to see my father too, he don't understant to much about the surgery he thinks that I made be sick because I have lost all this weight.  I try to explain to him but still in the back of his head thinking that I'm laying even though I'm happy.

I have good new too!!!! Im so proud of my son he is so wonderful and I'm bless.  God has giving me a wonderful, loving and respectful son.  He was nominated to attent the Governor School in NC this summer.  We got the news that he and 15 other kids from Cabarrus County in NC have been pick to attent.  This is a 6 weeks program room and board pay.  His subject will be math.  This is a great opportunity even though he will be away for six weeks.  I'm so happy and proud of him.

 WOW!!! I cannot believe that today one year ago I had my surgery.  I have lost a total of 115 lbs.  When this journey started I was 242 lbs and now one year later I'm 127 lbs.  I have been bless God has giving me a second chance and I'm taking it.  Its amazing how much a year can do, with the curves that I had I have learn to love my self, to be proud of who I'm and that all those curves are just a lesson from God.  Now I know that he does this because he knows that I can handle anything he throughs my way.  He has made me strong.  Life is beautiful and this time around I will enjoy it with family, my old friends and my new friends.  Life is great and everyday I thank God for another day.  

To all of you that are just starting this journey keep on going ... its a long road ahead ,but you know what?  Its still a long road for me too becuase now I have to learn how to maintain.  Together we'll make it through.  Thank you for been here for me and helping me.  Remember that I'm also here for you.

As you all know my surgery was Feb 5, 2007 and I was 242 lbs I'm happy to report today Nov 12, 2007 that I have lost 107 lbs, that was my goal.  I'm now 135 lbs and I feel great.  For once I feel beautiful full of energy. I feel alive.  I was looking at some pictures the other day pictures of me through the years in all of them I never smiled, but now when you see my new pictures I have a smile and that is a wonderful feeling.  Thank you all for been here and giving me the support.  I'm happy to have found OH I have learn alot. Thank you to my friends and family I love you.

I'm almost there, On Nov 5th I will be 9 month out, and it has been a wonderful experience.  I feel bless for having taken this path.  I have lost 106 lbs never in my wildest dreams I would have even imagine.  I could not have done it with out my biggest motivation my son Sergio.  Our lives took a different path but God has bless us because in this path he also put Johnny and since he enter out lives we have been happy.  I have wonderful friends (Darice  you know you are my angel and Carol you are also sent from heaven to be part of our lives) that are always here to cheer me up too.  
 

I went to my six month follow up with Dr. Kuwada, he is happy with my results.  I lost a total of 100 lbs its like a dream, I'm very happy.  I love my new life!!!

August 5th was my 6 month anniversity and I feel great I have lost a total of 94 lbs I have 13 more pounds to hit my goal, my total weight at this moment is 148 lbs.  I'm happy with my results I would not change a thing.  I had my galblader take out in July everything went ok with that Surgery (I love Dr. Kuwada he is the best). I have lots of enery and I can see my self in the mirrow and feel good about my self.
I have so much support from my friends and family.  I had have problems in my personal life but that don't matter because I feel good and the path that my life is taken at this moment is a great one.  The most important thing is that a have a wonderful son (I love you honey I'm proud of you) that is by my side always, My friends (Darice I love you) that are always there for me, my sister (love you too) and A very special person that came into my life that makes me feel special and loves me for who I'm (Johnny you have my heart, I love you).  Thank you to all of you for been there for me and you also need to know that I'm here for you too. 

Since I had surgery I feel great, no complications thank God.  I cannot believe how good I feel, I have more energy I can walk with out puffing.  I'm happy, my family is happy for me too.  My husband keeps telling my how proud he is of me and how beautiful I look.  I know that I still have sometime so I can reach my goal, but everyday that passes is a day closer.  I have no regrets what so ever, this has been one of the best decisions that I have made, the only regreat may be that I did not had done sooner.  I love wearing my cloths now, my co-worker are very supportive too, they keep telling that I look great.  I want to thank everyone that has been here for me from my family to my friends and to my new friends at OH, this site has been my support group.  I love reading about other members and thinking to my self one day I'll look like them.
