Hello Valerie - Congratulations it's finally a "reality" and you're on the road to a healthier and thinner new life!!! This is a second chance to LIVE again. No words can express the freedom that comes with this surgery. My humble advice? Walk as much as possible after surgery. It'll be tough at times and you'll find that you'd much rather cuddle with your pillow then get out of bed. Don't!! Get up and walk, walk and walk it'll help with the overall recovery. As your body begins to heal make sure to get in your protein, even if it means plugging your nose and chugging it back. Vitamins need to be chopped, minced or crushed... whatever it takes to get them in daily, no exceptions, YOU are worth it. Also, let's not forget your new best(est) friend, water. It is SO important to get your minimum 64 oz in daily. CELEBRATE all the special moments along the way, big or small. Too many people focus only on numbers, ie. pounds lost. There are so many "moments" to look forward to and embrace on this journey. NOTHING tastes as good as thin feels!! ....Hugs and smiles : )

Hi Val Buddy! Heard you came through and everything came out fine. I couldn't wait to see the post so called your angel. I now know why you picked her, she sounds like a wonderful lady! Well...I did chew on my nails all morning, but glad you made it through. Congratulations!!!! You are now one of the "other siders" we talked about. :} I will continue my prayers for you and your family. I'll keep sending you e-mails, but don't worry about answering them (till you're better). Hope and pray that you're in a regular room soon! LOVE & BIG BEAR HUGS, Mary~ (mjg007)
