Best of Luck with your surgery & recovery. Sounds like your Hubby is nervous so he's recruiting people to help keep HIS mind off your surgery. Knowing men he probably thinks he's helping, since YOU must be twice as nervous as he is. So he's keeping you busy so you won't get nervous. ;-)

I read your post tonight and I'm sorry that things aren't working out as you had planned. I understand how nervous you are (I had surgery 11/1) - the day before the surgery was tough, but the day OF surgery I was very calm - I guess I had faith that I was doing the right thing. Perhaps by now you have had a chance to come to terms with the "full house" and maybe you can see it as you are surrounded by people who LOVE you. Your husband is probably more scared than you are and, like most men, he is not sure how to handle these feelings, so he took matters into his own hands and probably thought he was doing you a favor. Too bad that he couldn't have checked with you first. Take care and God bless you and your surgeon and your family.

You go girl! I just read your post advocating an older posting section. Being 58 too, I am all for it! We defenitely have some different issues. (I wonder if I can blame memory loss on WLS...lol) I just have a few days to go...(11-16) so the excitement builds.

Jacqueline -- Best wishes on your upcoming surgery -- the date will be here before you know it! I had open rny by Dr. Hutcher on 4/6/01 and to date have lost 80 lbs. I consider myself very lucky as I've had very few complications -- eating too fast, too much, etc. This surgery is one of the best things I have ever done for myself and I am sure you will feel the same way too.
